1. The Cafe Scams - Island Red Cafe & Stevens Corner

(strange, both in Pandan Indah) - Island Red Cafe collects members RM6,000 each and promised 5% return every month and even give you a name in the ROC as a shareholder but what's the point when they run away? Stevens Corner, the famous indian coffee shop follows due to drop of business since their renovation. They collect RM3,000 per member and promise return of RM150 monthly and plans to open nice fanchisee cafe called StevensTeaGarden. Someone mentioned they will make you sign an agreement that give them the rights NOT to pay you anything in future. If you really wish to join, ask for a copy of their agreement and consult your lawyer BEFORE paying them. Bet you will NOT get a copy. Both collect monies from new members with MLM recruitment schemes and pay the old members like Sunshine Empire.. You never know when they will run away.

2. Sunshine Empire

This licensed and legal Company has an impressive office at the ground level of KUB building along Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, near Menara Public Bank and AmBank Building . They also have a showroom office at the ground level in the next building. 3 or 4 months ago, Singapore's Straits Times and The Paper published big news reminding their people to be careful and NOT to believe in them. Hope someone can put up the link or

Someone below has put a link to the Singapore news. In fact there are more to it. Although Singapore is investigating them, they did not stop their business as the business is legal and so far, no Singaporean have failed to receive their commissions as promised. Thus, the government cannot stop them yet. The news published that the founder, director and group president is someone named James Phang but he is NOT the owner. Isn't this quite strange ? At the end of the game, James Phang can just disappear from the Company easily and claimed that he was just "employed". Such trick always happened in scam businesses. Now, the Company has STOPPED paying commissions and interests to members with the excuse that the Singapore government has freezed their bank account while under investigation. Do you think their boss will be so stupid to keep much monies in the bank to be freezed? They are all transfered away. It's just an excuses not to

> pay back to members and members are only paid "e-bonus-points" which is cashless. If they wish to

> convert to cash, they have to recruit new members to pay them cash and the recruiter less out trom the amount. So victims act like Vampires and "forced" to victimise other victims if they wish to get their monies back. And their victims will later transform to vampires and the scam carries on…..

3. MobilWallet

This Company owned by 2 young men, Stanley & Rey Gan, office in Queens Avenue Park has collect multi-millions the last 2 years. Claimed that they tied up with Telekoms, Utility Board payment like Water & Electricity bills, even Maybank got fooled by them. Advertisement Billboards everywhere. They STOPPED paying back their members few months ago and the members cannot do anything because they are made to sign an agreement unaware that they have to claims if the company stopped paying them by CHANGING terms and policies..

4. Water Business - Oxygenated and Alkaline Water Products

Some of these are bottled water and some are filters or equipment that claimed the trick..

One of the better known Company that sold "oxygen" water is SITO (supposed to stand for Selangor International Trading Organiszation and claimed Selangor State Government owned some share in it).. The key person and founder is a Dato Robert Ong from Rawang but his name is no longer in the business now. Their products are sold for RM2 to RM3 for a 350ml bottle and now concentrating mostly in the Indian market. Their Chinese and Malays market are long gone since a year or 2 ago. Their customers are made to believe that their water has more oxygen and able to give miraculous effects for the body. Water is H2O, how to put more O into it ? Anyone knows how much oxygen do we breathe into our body everyday at FOC ? Latest news is that this SITO Company is going to create new label to market under a new Company since the SITO name has already gone bad. Someone informed that this Company is owing alot of money(due to refunds) to ex-stockists but just refuse to pay them. (Latest news, SITO shifted to another place and their MLM business has closed but planning to start again with a different name, beware!!)

Alkaline Products - Can anyone explain how it can work for the body ? The stomach's gastric liquid is so acidic that water of any pH that goes through it will not make any difference.

5. Car Fuel Booster - K-Link

K-Link, the famous scam MLM Company that sold the footpatch TAKARA, later the "cock-ring" and energy-card launched the patrol-saving pills last year. Got so hot that even grocery shops are selling for them. Recently many of these cars that used the pills are rushing to the workshops to clean the residual. Few months ago, another MLM Company launched a fuel booster gadget, claimed that saves up to 20% fuel, that is attached to the cigarette lighter. Started off well using binary plan but businese begin to fade now and most users find it NOT effective.

6. Perfumery Products

(eg. Lampe Berger & Bel Air)(more details later). Lampe Berger is not so hot now in the neighbouring countries but there are still new victims every month in Malaysia . Must thanks to those who have contributed and kept the thread alive here in Kopitiam. Bel-Air have closed in Malaysia . LB is almost zero in Singapore . This perfumery product from France with over 100 years history is just bottles and fragrance (check the factory's website) but the Company marketing them in Asia claimed "aromatheraphy" products. Hong Kong TVB aired a program that exposed their scam but their members claimed that HK's TVB already apologised to them. Note that the biggest strenght in a MLM Scam is their members will go all way out to lie in order to defend for their Company. The reason is simple; these members fear that they will not be able to make their money back if the Company collapsed. Knowing that the Lampe Berger products are moving slow, they add a line of skincare products named Estebel, also claime to have over 100 years history in France. (Hardly anymore Chinese newcomers, they are now tapping the Malays in Malaysia.)

7. Energy Products

(eg. stone pendants, bracelets, mattress and pillows). They use all sorts of gimmicks and demonstration to make you into believing them. They will do some tricks and demo to prove that these products really produce energy BUT is there any tricks in their demo? So what if there really produce energy; is it good or strong enough to help the body? The effect is actually PLACEBO which I will elaborate in a new thread soon. (More details later.)

8. Hi-Tech Products

Names like bio-tech, nano-tech that claimed millions of dollars of research involved, eg Bio-Young and XKL few years ago. Most of these will claimed a professor behind them (even with name and picture of a person) or used words like "U.S.A. formula", "German Technology" or "Nanotechnology" and no further details (more details later). If you ask for more details like the professor or factory's address, the answer will be "trade secrets".

9. Investment Schemes

SWISSCASH is the King of all. Swisscash is nearly over now but there are many similar and smaller ones that are still on. (Now, it's closed or stopped paying back members.)

10. GoldQuest

This Company that claimed to be HK-based started with some non-value gold-plated coins that are sold for over RM2,000 have several names and changed products several times. QuestVacation, QuestNet, etc. They have several offices in Amcorp Mall, PJ and their key person (in fact, the owner), a Malaysian Indian was arrested last year in Indonesia for having involved in a very big Phillipines scam. Most of their overseas offices are closed or inactive but their Malaysia business is still hot, with some "energy" products. (Can someone please provide a link which showed the news that their boss was involved in a big scam in Philippines and was arrested in last year?)

11. Numerogy & Fortune Telling

A Company named Visible is using MLM to sell fortune telling classes using your birthday based on numerology fortune telling. Prpspects will be told that they need to buy a certain "number" between 1 to 9 in the form of pendants or bracelets made of stainless steel and sold from RM600 to RM20,000. Customers, or rather victims are mostly females from rural areas. Very hot in Penang now and a number of spin-off Companies have started.

12. MJ - Life

MJ-Life - This Company boost of a very big background with many many years of history which is NOT true. Their people or associates may be long in business but nothing to do with their MLM launched recently. Why do I consider it a scam or bad? New members are told to pay a sum of money (up to RM1000) and you get NOTHING for it. You only get a membership can entitle you to enjoy all sorts of special price and discounts when you have medical check-ups in their centres.. They will claim all those check-ups cost more if done elsewhere. It's not true. Only the naive and those new to medical check-ups will fall victims to them. Most members who paid the money ended up with nothing.

13. Seaweed Venture Scams

1 such Company is located in Taman Maluri, Cheras. They will ask you to invest a few thousands ringgits for their venture of growing seaweeds in East Malaysia and you are guaranteed returns. To gain your confidence further, they will tell you your investment money is secured by "insurance" or "unit trusts" & "trustees". When you ask for further documents to prove, they will give all sorts of excuses or just ignore you because they know they cannot get you. These Seaweed scam is one of the hottest now, warn all your friends about it before they are victimised.

14. MXM (Previously MGM)

This is a master scam among the younger group, very successful 2 or 3 years ago but since there moved to their big 10-storey office at Phileo Damansara and changed name to MXM, their business dropped. They collect members RM3,000 to RM4,000 with credit card monthly easy payment and in return you get a hospital benefits insurance from Pacific Insurance worth only a few hundred RMs together with some you-don't-need medical check-ups from their associate Company Pathlab. Also talk about fitness, lifestyles bullshit that is all worthless.

15. Gano Excel

This company from the north, a copycat of DXN selling Lingzhi capsules created a new Company called Gano iTouch to cash-in on the internet like e-Cosway after their Company went down the drain since the last 2 years, selling Linzhi and some no-value energy pendants and alkaline water gadgets. They provide free transport every weekend from KL to visit their Alor Star office.

16. NuLife (HK)

This Company started by some HK people has been in Malaysia for more than 10 years but they have flopped in HK and Malaysia due to bad management and a product scam making use of a prosecuted American named Dr Jeffrey Bland, found guilty of false products claim. Since this case in the US leaked out and many Malaysians found out that the real boss in HK is a Steven Tang (he cheated many Malaysians in another scheme about 20 years ago) their business went down all the way. Now they claim Malaysian partners cheated them and start a new Company in Malaysia . Watch out, this new Company will come out with some investment scheme idea that will get many to lose their money.

17.. Arowana Fish Breeding

Oora from Germany , Biofuel (Kompleks Maluri) etc - These are some newer scams. Arowana fish venture ask you to invest some money and give you fixed return. Biofuel will tell you their Indonesia connections (just like Sunshine Empire before using Taiwan) & Oora from Germany(I never trust those cruel Germans) that market some bio-chips and a gadget that claims to give energy and therapeutic effects of accupunture, tai-chi, yoga, etc depending how you set the toy-like gadget, wear it on your body and you get the effect later.

They could not explain or provide any demonstration to prove their effectiveness. Only doctors and papers claim that I will never trust.. The health effect is actually PLACEBO, which I will elaborate in a different thread.

Hainanese Chicken Rice

Ingredients

2 chicken drumsticks (Remove bone and skin and cut into bite-sized pieces. Then marinate with 1 tsp concentrated chicken stock, 1 tsp corn flour and a dash of pepper for at least 1 hour or leave it overnight.)
2 cups of rice – washed
2 tbsp chopped shallots
2 tbsp chopped garlic
2 tbsp chopped ginger
3 tbsp oil
5 tsp concentrated chicken stock
Slightly less than 2 cups of water

Method

Heat oil in wok/pan using medium heat. Add in chopped shallots, garlic and ginger and fry till aromatic.
Add rice and concentrated chicken stock and mix well. Turn off the flame.
Pour the rice into a rice cooker and add in water. Place the chicken pieces on top of rice and set the rice cooker to cook.
Switch off the rice cooker once it turns to warm function. Let the cooked chicken rice stand cover in the pot for another 10 to 15 minutes.
Dish out and serve hot.

Chicken Wings in Special Sauce

Ingredients

6 chicken wings
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
2 tablespoons light soy sauce, or according to taste
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
3 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 teaspoon black pepper
300 ml water

Steps:

Marinate chicken wings in a mixture of the soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic and coarsely pounded black pepper overnight or for at least one hour.
Pour chicken wings together with marinade into a wok/pan.
Add water and bring to the boil at high heat for five minutes, with the wok covered.
Remove the lid, and continue to simmer over low heat till sauce has thickened.
Dish up and serve hot.

Last Friday seen the official opening ceremony and organized my Sales Personnal to man the booth in the POPULAR Bookfest 2008 in KL Convention Center, and our Ng Yen Yen is fashionably LATE for 1 hr to officiate the ceremony..

The amount of books there we incredible.. and many famous authors are there, and so will our Tun Dr.M which will be there for signing his book on Thursday, 29 May 08.

Today supposingly is said to be an auspicious day to start work for the year of the rat... so here i am, in the office when most of the people are still on holiday celebrating and gambling for the new year..

Not many people in office today.. only 14 of us. and everyone is quite free as nothing much to do for today... tomorrow will be a hectic day i think, because most of the people are coming back. Thinking about it makes me feel stressful as LRT will be super pack with people and it will be like a moving sardine can.

The new year is getting bored for me, not as grand as before.. This year, we took our family picture again, but comparing to last year, 1 person is missing.. the previous year, grandpa is missing... 2 people is not in the picture anymore.. the feeling is rather sad, the joy and laughter is not there compared to 3 years ago..

Still remember, those were the days, when grandpa is around, many people will come to the house to pray, and lion dance troupe will be there too to usher in the new year with loud drums and active lion dancing, tonnes of ang pows flowing in.. but for this year, everything has changed, even uncle Louise is not here this time.. everything felt...... DIFFERENT.. silent and gray

Where are those happy days? Can i relive in the old times again for the joy and laughter??

Anyway, one the 1st day of CNY, went to watch CJ7.. and on the 3rd day, watch CJ7 and KungFu Dunk. . the show was nice, CJ7 was touching and KungFu Dunk was full with computer effects.

OH.. on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd nights, i played a game of Poker with Terrance, Ong, Hell boy, Wei Jet, and Roshan.. not much winnning tho.. but still there is a little winning.. so should be a good start i can say.

Chinese New Year is around the corner, and i'm stuck in office and everyone is on leave enjoying their h0liday and going back to their hometown. Too bad as a KL boy, there is no kampung for me. Wonder hows the feeling to stay in a small kampung and celebrate the lunar new year there.. hmm..

Today traffic in KL was so clear, and this is the only time and Raya time, u will get a clear traffic and no JAMS!!

Been procrastinating to blog because there is nothing much to blog, but have to update it no matter what.. well.. boss is on leave, so there is a peaceful week for me however, he left me with a big burden, which is to think of who to sell and where to sell PBMicro Finance.

In a nut shell for my dear readers, PBMicro Finance is small financing for people who wants to open business and need funds to start their small business. The loan size is from RM3000 to RM50,000.

The interest rate is 8.75% and its comparatively low compared to other banks which offers Micro Financing.

The criteria for this loan is simple, it's either u have 5 employees and below OR a turnover of RM200,000 and below.

So there is goes, a slight introduction into my work.. So with this product, i can only target on small business such as petty traders , small franchise business or small pyramid marketing. Now the question is, where and who should i give this Micro Financing too?? super hard task with all the raw data's.. Any ideas ANYONE or anyone who wants Micro Finance?!

Boss will be coming back next Monday and i have to give him all these results.. sigh.. but he going to report this to the COO, so there goes my name again to the COO.. hopes he knows that i'm working hard and give me a higher bonus this year.

Life's pressure will be getting high and the more you need a person to fall back on.. where are you, the person that supports me when I'm down..

Yesterday was a terrible day, early morning get grilled from big boss, WHY?? because on Thurdays 830am, when i'm still in the LRT train on the way to office he couldn't get his documents. And my work hours start at 845am.. Maybe old people are like that, they just love to grill people when they feel unhappy.

Well, lets try to forget about the sad part and move on with life with something beautiful.

I'm getting old, thats what i feel, and I'm starting to stand on my own with less financial support from parents.

For year 2008 my resolution is simple:
1. To get my own car
2. To reduce my weight to around 85kg
3. To save a portion of my money.

However, resolution no.1 has been fulfilled last week.. hehe..and this is the car i'm getting

This a little modification here and there.. i think it will look sporty.. will be getting in 2 months time. This is something that i;m proud off, and i'm paying it by myself. So lets pray i would get another salary adjustment at the end of this year.

3 Long Weeks

Its been 3 weeks since i last post.. well.. within this 3 weeks many things happened.

Dearest Aunty Chris pass away on 4 Dec 2007

Was a big lost to the family will always miss her alot.. may you rest in peace and bless us always and bless us more when we are in genting.. hehe.. she always love that place..

Her cremation was help on 6 Dec 07, whole day was raining and gloomy, well, guess god knows that we are sad too. The ceremony was done in Catholic style, so as nephew, i'm suppose to walk in and push the coffin. As we were entering, the choir sang Amazing Grace. That song really teared everyone.

After her cremation, i have to supervise Public Bank booth in Mid Valley, for the Modern Home & Property Fair. There were many people and inquiries were high till i have to help to answer the question raised by customers. It was a tiring weekend as i have to see it from the set up day of the booth till tear down of booth on Sunday, non stop working. But its worth while.

But the most happy thing is 14 December 2007 (Friday) will be my last day of work for year 2007, will be on leave till 1 January 2008.

I will update the pictures as soon as possible.

The day when boss is not around

haha.. for 3 days boss is not goin to be around but things are still moving on for the project, important project till i have to keep it secret from other people..

well.. past week has been slow week, and 3 managers just left the department and moving on to a better and higher paying bank.. hmm.. i also wan other banks to import me over! haha.. well, thursday will be goin to KK again to work.. and on the way take the advantage to chill at the beach at Tanjung Aru.. hopefully it does not rain much.

Still waiting for the PPP to pay me USD20.. they still not approve my post yet.. maybe they bluff ppl one.. no results from them yet..

White River Water Rafting

It has been 1 weeks since i blog, so after so many days of relectant finally i decided to write something where all the bosses are having their meetings.. hehe :)

Well, for the last week, on 6 October 07, we started out journey at 6 a.m in the morning and arrive in Gopeng to early, so we decided to visit Kellies Castle in Batu Gajah, the place is serene but certain rooms u can feel cold winds moving around you, like the Wine celler room which is underground and dark..

Around 9 a.m we left for RiverBug Office and went for White Water River Rafting, yes, it's in Malaysia and not in New Zealand.. was very fun and challanging tho.. Me, Sally, Domingo (an Italian who got to know during the rafting trip) and Karan.. the 3 heavy fella except for Domingo of course because he is thin.. on the same raft.. haha.. stuck on many stones on the river, but we manage to pass thru them. I counld not get pictures for here because urm.. wet activity and i don have a water camera.. so no pictures, unless Domingo email me the pictures. haha.. The River rafting last for 7km but it is really worth if because u can enjoy and train urself better. We also did Tubing, meaning u sit on a tyre tube and raft all the way down the river for 5km, the water was quite fast and the rapid was quite rough too, minimum 2 rapids and u have to have a good balancing skills to maitain a float on the tube.

After all the hard days of activity, we stayed at Sg. Klah again.. haha.. but we rented the villa which cost RM840, but we have our own private hot spring to ourself.. haha. and night time u can dip in the warm water, it's really nice..

The following day, every good thing have to come to an end, at 2pm we started our journey back to KL, and i have to rush back for a dinner which is organize by MIC.

It's been a long long while since i went for a good fishing trip.. and for 2 consecutive weeks i went to Seminyih and to a pond to fish.. seriously a test of patiance game and energetic because of casting if bait into the deep ponds..and by using Frogs as baits seriously is kinda of pityfull to the frogs.. well.. thats life.. have to sacrifice something for another thing..

By using frog as baits, the only fishes that u will get will be Snake Head fish (Ikan Haruan) and Cat Fish.. personally, i just don like cat fish. maybe i know it will sting with its poisoneus torn..

Well.. got sunburn on my both my arms now.. and skin is peeling off... pain indeed..

Over the week end, 7 - 9 September 2007, i've join the car club for a convoy for the Annual Getaway to Summerset, Kuala Rompin, Pahang.

It took us 5hrs drive of convoys and winding roads.. but it is worth while. experience of long journey convoys is fun indeed..

we had lots of activities, such as tele-match, tug of war, water polo, and others more.. haha

This week is my 1st time getting pay for working life.. the feeling is quite nice tho.. you know.. getting PAID for my effectiveness of using my brain.. haha.. but it's quite sad cos i;m not pain in full amount because i just worked for 14 days.. haha.. hmm.. seriously looking forward for the next PAYDAY!!

Well.. on that day, all my work mates were happy and we had lunch at Kim Gary at Avenue K.. that place got pack in just a few minues time after we arrive.. luckly we have a table for the 6 of us.. hmm.. that day was Ms. Moo, Ethene, Joan, Lai Sum, Derric and Me.. maybe 1 day i'll post up pictures for u all to see..

Maybe next week.. and Yuslan is leaving us.. and i'm asked to organize a farwell party for him.. and i was stunned when Boss insisted to come along.. haha.. so we will see next week wat happens..

Tiring yet enjoyable weekend.. for the weekend i had to help dad.. and i get to travel to Kota Kinabalu to see the Masterskill Nursing Collage, it's a building in KK and i think they will be doin well there cos there is no other health science collages there..

The Beaches there is so much better then Port Dickson in Seremban.. let me show you why.. hehe..

1st Meeting

Today i thought i could finish my work early and go back early, but suddenly my Boss wants me to be in his office and to be in the meeting with him along with other Directors and Head of Control of Public Bank.. it was shocking for me but yet interesting.. So from monday onwards i'll be having a new duty which is to collect data information from Hire Purchase department and to filter it out the information and to be pass on to the sales person..

oh ya, today had another monthly gathering with K2OC club again.. and everything was fun and i don have to drive cos i have a drive to fetch me!! haha.. Thanks Yin!

Work mates

It's been almost 2 week now since i start working with Public Bank.. all my work mates is nice.. amazingly 3 of them say that i look familiar to them and finally we found out is either we are in same kinder garden, same tuition center.. or something else.. haha..

all of them are nice to mix around.. gila-gila cases..

oh ya.. today Public Bank had a fire drill... i had to walk down 18 floors.. not only that.. have to walk to the Malay Cemetry at Jalan Ampang there to gether which is a super far place for a gather point in case of emergency..

All of us laughed and chat all the way down and taking our own sweet time to get down instead of rushing.. and Ms.Jo.. Boss's Secretary.. is a fun person to be with.. hopefully all will not change and back stab =)

Terrible work place.. no internet connection as it is blocked! can u imagine without internet connection how can i work there.. then as a marketing officer i need the line to do my research.. but soon i will get my line.. hopefully

It's been 3 great years since we known each other. From the very first days we complaint about having to study in University, complaint about assignments, complaint about how terrible the lecturer are.. but just in a glimps of an eye 3 years has gone. Thru thick and thin we have been together, all the joy and laughters, the silly jokes that we crack till laugh loudly.. and even the casino gambling outing events.. haha

As usual for people in Malaysia, when u say 730am but in the end we ended starting journey at 10am with breakfast.. haha.. delays which is a killer of time. We headed to Sungkai with 3 cars doing a convoy, and craps been chat thru the walkie.. haha..

Reached at TRAP (Taman Rekreasi Air Panas) Sg Klah at 1130 and waited for our private room and there it goes starting out our monkey businesses.. haha..

After the a waited years, i have finally finished my final paper of the last exam for my degree and a new life and new adventure is waiting. Todays paper was quite challenging but do-able.. haha.. like my friend said "An Insult to my Inteligence" (Johnny B, 2007) hahaha.. Was too excited today, body and mind is very tired but could not sleep, lastly watched Charlie & The Chocolate Factory in HBO. Starting from tomorrow, fun activity will start.. and should be going up to Genting. So tonight have to analyse some strategy to be a winner for tomorrow..

Today is the worst day within this week..have to study for tomorrows freaking exam.. which is the final paper for my University life.. International Economics Applied is the monster i'm facing tmr.. it's very very tough.. and the bloody internal marks given is so damn low compared to the student got in Australia.. how unfair it is.. i've have used the same content as wat they have used there.. but maybe Ms.J is too strict.. sigh.. how unfair it is to be here.. everytime wish i was in Australia.. to enjoy everything there.. including the cold weather and snow perhaps.. :(

oh ya... will tell you all later about the Convoy we had yesterday to Seremban..
